Robin Casey, MD
Dr. Robin Casey is board certified in General / Adult Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, as well as Integrative and Holistic Medicine (ABIHM). She completed residency and fellowship training, also serving as Chief Resident during her Child and Adolescent Fellowship training, at the University of North Carolina in 2015. Dr. Casey graduated from UNC School of Medicine in 2010 after completing undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry at NC State University.
She appreciates working with all types of individuals and their unique concerns and she uses a complete approach to patient care, with emphasis on providing psychoeducation to patients and their families on the mind-body connection. She encourages patients to be active advocates and participants in their treatment planning and care, including the use of complementary and natural therapies. She is a strong proponent of optimizing outcomes through the concurrent use of therapy and mindfulness training in addition to pharmacological and other treatments.
In her free time, she enjoys sewing, daydreaming, DIY projects, and hopes to learn metalworking/sculpting in the future.
Initial appointments are face-to-face 60 min (adult) or 90 min (child/teen) consultations to evaluate if the patient and Dr. Casey are a good match for ongoing treatment, and she is currently accepting new patients at this time for medication management appointments only. In her free time, she likes to work on her land and farm, Southern Wild Food Forest. She has 10.5 acres of woods that she is working on transforming into a retreat center for stress and burnout. At the moment she likes to carve out trails and to grow gourmet mushrooms and forage mushrooms for sale at farmer’s market and restaurants in the area. Her husband and her are also in the process of building a pole barn and meditation decks around the property. She finds this another creative practice of transforming barren woods into an active sustainable food forest with a purpose to heal the land and people in need.

James Goldberg, LCSW-A (therapist)
James Goldberg, LCSW-A, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with couples, families, and individuals of all ages. He spent much of the past decade living and working overseas, managing an Eco-Lodge in the Northern Region of Malawi and teaching English in South Korea, before returning to complete his Master of Social Work at the University of North Carolina.
James brings an integrative approach to therapy, combining aspects of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (including Mindfulness), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to find the best way forward for each client. He has experiences working with clients of all ages, across settings (including hospital emergency department, school, group-home, and in-home). James specializes in helping people experiencing anxiety, depression, impulsive/risk-taking behaviors, and interpersonal conflict. He enjoys meeting with individuals, couples, and families. Brice Bradshaw, LPC (Therapist)

Carl Theodore, LCMHC (therapist and neurofeedback specialist)
Carl Theodore, LCMHC, BCN (Certified Neurofeedback) is a certified neurofeedback specialist and therapist who enjoys working with all ages. Carl has a unique background in that he formerly was a teacher, vocational rehabilitation counselor, then an attachment trained therapeutic adoptive parent to his own two children. Eighteen years ago, he began practicing Neurofeedback and uses the best equipment and methods, keeping up to date on new methods, data, and developments in the field in a Mentoring group under Dr. Richard Soutar. He typically does an initial assessment of clients who may benefit from Neurofeedback by completing a Brain Map using qualitative EEG measurements to visually map any potential abnormalities; abnormalities seen on the Brain Map frequently align with clinical symptoms that concern the client and assist in crafting a customized training and treatment plan. He successfully treats: ADHD, Autism, Trauma, Sleep, depression, anxiety, pain, headaches, OCD, Chemo Brain, Attachment and intimacy issues, learning and sensory processing issues, and Dementia. Statistically, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and Insomnia have the best response rates to Neurofeedback. Clients are often able to wean down or off medications under supervision with Robin Casey, MD. Carl is certified in Heart Math, Heart Rate Variability, and uses therapeutic breathing exercises to build normalized patterns of awareness and arousal in the brain. Carl works with the mind, teaching skills of Mindfulness, Self-Compassion and Non-Violent Communication. Carl Theodore, LCMHC, BCN (Certified Neurofeedback) is a certified neurofeedback specialist and therapist who enjoys working with all ages. Carl has a unique background in that he formerly was a teacher, vocational rehabilitation counselor, then an attachment trained therapeutic adoptive parent to his own two children. Eighteen years ago, he began practicing Neurofeedback and uses the best equipment and methods, keeping up to date on new methods, data, and developments in the field in a Mentoring group under Dr. Richard Soutar. He typically does an initial assessment of clients who may benefit from Neurofeedback by completing a Brain Map using qualitative EEG measurements to visually map any potential abnormalities; abnormalities seen on the Brain Map frequently align with clinical symptoms that concern the client and assist in crafting a customized training and treatment plan. He successfully treats: ADHD, Autism, Trauma, Sleep, depression, anxiety, pain, headaches, OCD, Chemo Brain, Attachment and intimacy issues, learning and sensory processing issues, and Dementia. Statistically, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and Insomnia have the best response rates to Neurofeedback. Clients are often able to wean down or off medications under supervision with Robin Casey, MD. Carl is certified in Heart Math, Heart Rate Variability, and uses therapeutic breathing exercises to build normalized patterns of awareness and arousal in the brain. Carl works with the mind, teaching skills of Mindfulness, Self-Compassion and Non-Violent Communication. Kristin Brandon, MSW LCSW has over 17 years experience working in diverse environments including court systems, outpatient mental health settings, higher education and private practice working with a variety of clients. She has worked extensively with couples, women, men, and young adults to resolve or cope with a variety of challenges including trauma, depression, anxiety, addictions, grief, life transitions, intimate partner violence, and relationship issues. In addition to her clinical work, Kristin was on the faculty of Indiana University School of Social Work for 10 years and also worked as a domestic relations mediator. Kristin is a certified EMDR provider and is in process of becoming certified in the Gottman method of couples therapy.Kristin is passionate about assisting men and women who have experienced trauma, addiction, heartbreak and loss to make lifestyle changes, heal relationships and live wholeheartedly.
