Understanding Healthcare Costs and Insurance
We know that navigating healthcare costs and insurance coverage can feel overwhelming. At Casey Mental Health Collaborative, we’re committed to making the process as transparent and manageable as possible.
Understanding Your Insurance Coverage
Insurance plans vary widely in terms of coverage, deductibles, co-pays, and out-of-pocket responsibilities. Before your first appointment, we strongly recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm your specific benefits for outpatient mental health services.
Questions to Ask Your Insurance Company:
- Is Casey Mental Health Collaborative an in-network provider with my plan?
- Do I have a deductible, and if so, how much of it have I met?
- What is my co-pay or co-insurance responsibility per visit?
- Are there limits to the number of therapy or psychiatry visits covered per year?
- Do I need pre-authorization or a referral for mental health services?
Understanding Out-of-Pocket Costs
Even with insurance, you may be responsible for certain out-of-pocket expenses such as:
- Deductibles that must be met before your benefits apply
- Co-pays due at each visit
- Co-insurance percentages for specific services
- Non-covered services (for example, some types of evaluations or certain treatment modalities)
We will submit claims to your insurance on your behalf, but ultimately, you are responsible for any portion of the bill not covered by your plan.
Out-of-Network Services
If we are not in-network with your insurance provider, you may still choose to receive care from us on an out-of-network basis. In these cases, you would pay for services upfront and may submit a claim to your insurance for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan’s out-of-network benefits.
Options for Uninsured or Self-Pay Patients
If you are uninsured or choose not to use insurance, we offer self-pay rates for all our services. Please contact our office for details about current rates.
Financing and Payment Plan Options
We understand that mental health care is an important investment, and we want to help make it affordable. That’s why we offer patient financing options through both Advanced Care and CareCredit®. These programs provide flexible payment plans, including 0% interest options for qualified applicants and extended payment terms when needed.
